I proceeded to illustrate the first page.
I then made the progression to experiment with the digital colour process. Firstly, creating a grey scaled page and then proceeding to create the page in full colour.
While I must say that the painstaking process at the end seemed a very rewarding one, I wasn’t satisfied with the coloured versions. The full coloured version seemed to have a more mainstream comic feel. The intent from the beginning was to create images that would not only jump out of the page, but create some level of distinction from the mainstream comics available at bookstands. The black and white version seemed to have more edge, pushing the page out, and emphasizing the amount of detail within each panel.
Upon reaching the conclusion, I proceeded to execute the other pages.
Upon meeting the brief’s requirement, I embarked on going the extra mile to create a book. This involved me create a front cover and additional pages displaying some of the processes involved in the books’ creation.
